Time for that midweek creative writing prompt and today it is of the random phrases kind. The idea here is that I give you a list of ten randomly chosen phrases that you must work to somehow connect into an entire story, poem or some other piece of creative writing. But it is not really such hard work, you just have to turn off your inner editor and let the words flow. The first draft does not have to be perfect, it just has to be.

2. Congested closer
3. Crazy inclining
4. Humble effect
5. Introducing stretched lecturing
6. Sticky perpetual attempt
7. Blanket attention wrecking
8. Optimum matrix
9. Steaming with unacceptable degradation
10. Kept earning bread
The instructions:
As per usual, read the above phrases a few times and concentrate on the storyline that could connect them all. Once you have it, start writing and don’0t stop for at least 30 minutes, or more. Use all of the above phrases in the first draft of your piece of writing and only return to edit it a few days later.
