So, it is once again time for that midweek writing prompt and today we have a lovely random words writing exercise to pass the time and help get us into that writing mood, as well as the habit of writing daily. Or at least as often as we can, but on a regular basis. And remember, if you get stuck in your writing and don’t know how to continue, just keep at it, just plug away at the words and don’t give up. Anyway, the idea with creative writing prompts in the form of random words is that you are given a list of ten words which you must then string together into a story, poem or piece of flash fiction. Easy.

2. Rot
3. Combination
4. Hasty
5. Agree
6. Tulip
7. Bang
8. Smash
9. Away
10. Towards
The instructions:
Let the above list of words sink into your subconscious before you start writing-read it through and try to see the story hidden in between the words. Once that story emerges for you, sit down and start writing and don’t stop for at least 30 minutes. Try to complete an entire first draft in one sitting an use all of the words.
