Before we lose ourselves in the New Year celebrations we do have time for one more creative writing exercise, now don’t we? Today it’s an easy random words creative writing exercise and it should be a breeze to get through it. The goal is to string together the ten words that I list for you below into an entire short story or poem. Ready to get started?
The random words writing prompts:
1. Princess
2. Game
3. Fix
4. Rain
5. Orchid
6. Cinderella
7. Smell
8. Cap
9. Calendar
10. Cookie
The instructions:
Read the above words through a few times and try to see the story or poem that they add up to. Once you have the idea in mind, start writing and write for at least thirty minutes. Once you are done set it aside and only return to it after it has settled for a few days.
And have a very creative 2010!
