It’s once again time to see what kind of story, flash or any other piece of writing a sentence can bring forth. The ida behind this type of creative writing exercise is that you are given a first sentence and you must then use it grown an entire piece of writing out of. This type of creative writing prompt can be used as the first sentence of the story
or anywhere else in it. The point here is that the sentence inspires the story and I’m sure it will!
The sentence:
Josh is OK, but David is better so it’s a real shame that only the former is available.
The instructions:
Read the above sentence a few times and once it sparks a story in your mind start writing and don’t stop until you have at least the outline of the first draft complete. Write for at least 30 minutes, longer if you have the time. Reread and edit the story only after you have let it sit for awhile.
Stay creative!
