Once again it is time to do some creative writing exercises, just to get the creative juices flowing and to get in the habit of writing. It is getting into the habit or routine of writing which ensures that you are able to write at will and at any given time, whether you feel inspired or not. Anyway, today we have an exercise in the from of a story starter sentence writing prompt. The aim here is that a single, given sentence is supposed to inspire you to write an entire story. It truly is easier than you think to just write!
The story starter sentence writing prompt:
How can the dim mist oppose us?
The instructions:
Read the sentence above a few times and try to imagine, see the story that it foretells. Once you are comfortable that there is such a story there somewhere, start writing and write for at least 30 minutes or until your story is told. Use the given sentence somewhere in the story. Then, let it rest for a few days or hours and come back to edit it with fresh eyes.
