I do hope that you all had a wonderful holiday, but it is time to get back to work. And by work I primarily mean writing. To ease into the new year and into the new week, we have a nice story starter writing exercise today and these are just a wonderful tool to stretch those writing muscles and get some creative writing done. So let’s just get started.
The story starter sentence writing prompt:
The idyllic countryside stretched out before her but somehow it did not bring calm.
The instructions:
Read the above sentence a few times and try to think of a story that it could be from. Once you feel like you know the story, start writing and try to write for at least thirty minutes. Use the sentence somewhere in the story, it does not have to be the first sentence. When you are done with the rough draft set it aside for a few days or hours at least before you go back to edit it.
