What better way to start off yet another week with a story starter sentence creative writing prompt? Given the low temperatures outside, at least where I am living, it is best to just stay in and devote some time to writing with perhaps a little reading to brush up on how other people are doing it. Anyway, what the story starter sentence does is give you a starting point for your story, poem or some other piece of writing. In other words, the starter sentence is supposed to inspire you to write something, anything, which can either be based on the idea behind the sentence or the sentence being part of it. Very simple!

Let the above sentence inspire you to write. Read the sentence a few times and try to imagine what the bigger picture, the bigger story surrounding it is. Once you have it start writing and don’t stop until you have a rough draft ready to edit. Use the sentence somewhere in this first draft, though you can edit it out later if you wish.
