in Picture Prompts

Picture writing prompts are a great way to get some writing exercises done when you don’t want to be bothered by list of words, phrases or the confines of a single given sentence. The idea behind these type of creative writing prompts is that the picture you see is somehow, in some way supposed to inspire a story in your mind. it can be that the scene in the photo becomes a setting in a story or, if the picture is especially abstract and expressive, the idea can become the meaning behind the story. The choice really is yours and you should make the most of it.

The instructions:

Look at the picture above and see if it does not inspire a story in your mind. Once it does start writing and don’t stop for at least 30 minutes. By the end of this writing session you should at least have the blueprint of a story, something to mold into shape later, when you’ve had some time to reflect on it.

Stay creative!
