Picture Prompts: Crossroads

in Picture Prompts

Today we have the ever popular creative writing prompts in the form of pictures. The idea behind these picture writing prompts is that you, the writer, are shown a picture and that is supposed to inspire you to write a story, poem, piece of flash fiction, or whatever other form of creative writing that you fancy. You are supposed to see or imagine a story behind the picture, something that could happen, something that is happening, or something that might yet come to be. This type of creative writing prompts are a great way to let your creativity flow, since only an image stands between you and the piece of writing.

The picture writing prompt:

The instructions:

Look at the above image until a story line of some sort starts to unfold in your mind. Once that happens, sit down at your computer or with your journal and start writing. Free write for at least 30 minutes, and try to make your story as complete as possible, i.e. it should have a beginning, middle and an end. In no time you should be well on your way to a complete story, poem, flash or perhaps even at the beginning of a novel.

Stay creative!
