Picture Prompts: Peaceful

in Picture Prompts

Ever since first coming across creative writing prompts, picture prompts have always been my favorite. There is just so much creative potential in them and you are not limited by being given a set of words thought up by someone else to work with. Not that words are not a great way to jump-start a story. Picture writing prompts are meant to inspire you to write a story by looking at a picture and imagining some sort of happening, situation, relationship, character or something similar behind it.

The picture prompt:

The instructions:

Look at the above picture until it inspires a story in you. Instead of trying to see the whole story at once, try and imagine a scene that this picture might be a part of and then grow the rest of your story out of that. Once you have a grasp on it, write for at least 30 minutes not stopping to go back and fix things until the whole of the first draft is done.

Stay creative!
