Picture Prompts: The World Beyond the Edge

It’s that time again. Time for letting pictures tell a story or, put simply, it’s picture prompts day. So look at the picture carefully and let it speak to you, let it paint a character, a plot, an event, a city, town, village, country, … and then sit down and write the story of it, the poem or the flash, perhaps even a novel, though that might be pushing it.

Today’s picture is simpler than usual, more abstract and perhaps that is better, better than a busy photo that already dictates a certain type of story. You decide

Study it, let it speak to you and then write for at least 15 minutes. And strive to write the story of this photo, the story of the world in this photo, the world that is perhaps not quite seen, but there nonetheless.
