Picture Prompts: Tied Off

in Picture Prompts

Time again for another lovely picture writing prompt. Somehow these seem to me to be the least invasive of the different creative writing prompts in the sense that they don’t impose any words to work with, merely an image. The idea here is to look at the picture and imagine the story behind it, the world it could exist in and the people inhabiting it. Very creative indeed!

The picture prompt:

picture prompts, picture writing prompts, picture prompt, pictures prompts, picture prompts for short story, Creative writing prompts, creative writing exercises, creative writing ideas, picture prompts for writing

The instructions:

Look at the picture above and try to imagine a story, poem, flash, etc. behind it. Once you see the whole story, poem, flash, etc. as opposed to just this image start writing and write for at least 30 minutes, but preferably until the first draft is complete. Edit this first draft later, when you have had some time to put it out of your mind.

Stay creative!
