Today is Monday and the start of a new working week and what better way to make it just a little bit more productive than by doing some much needed creative writing exercises. Today’s writing exercise is in the form of a creative writing picture prompt. The idea behind this type of creative writing exercises is that you are shown a picture and that picture is meant to inspire a story in your mind. More often than not, this is a great way to get those creative writing juices flowing and get those stories on the page. And remember, the stories are all already there in your mind and these writing prompts are just here to help coax them out.

Look at the image above and try to imagine the world in was taken in, who took it and what it really represents. Once you have all those things answered you essentially have a story so start writing. Write for at least 30 minutes or longer if you have more time. Try to finish this writing session with at least a first draft of a story, which you can then come back to later and finish up into something more.
